C3 Summer Camp 2012
C3 Summer Camp lacked one thing this year…. Summer! But what we lacked in good weather we more than made up for in prayer, fellowship and mad tenting skills.
Curio bay had a lot to offer us; penguins, dolphins, and of course milkshake day. Some of us revelled in the isolation and enjoyed not showering for the weekend, others felt $2 was a small price to pay for that freshly washed smell. We all benefited from the latter due to the close proximity of all 15 of us in one tent. We played cricket once, UNO lots and Apples to Apples far too much. Wanting to be like a real camp we even had duty teams, hoping to encourage the boys into a good habit of cooking and cleaning for us. A habit of early morning prayer was kick started on a cliff and has continued into O-week.
We heard from Chris Mac on Friday and had Dave Ross from Invercargill C3 come out to speak to us on Saturday. Camp was finished off by communion service led by Mel Mac in a beautiful old church on Sunday. The theme of the sessions seemed to be Matthew 28:18-20; “The Great Commission”, so we’ve returned to Dunedin amped to evangelise, starting with our “Bake your own damn brownie!” O-Week campaign.

WINTER WONDERLAND
Hi Everyone!
Hope you’re enjoying the relapse of winter this week! If you didn’t hear we had our annual Winter Wonderland dinner last weekend! This was a community event, which gave free meals away to about 120 lucky diners. Just in case you missed it, here’s what happened:
Diners were welcomed to a scene that was reminiscent of Narnia (actual comment by guest), there were snowflakes from the ceiling, Christmas trees and fairy lights galore! Everyone had a free roast meal followed by a delectable dessert of their choice. Spirits were high, as the guests enjoyed the festive atmosphere. It was a great night.
For those of you who attended, your photos are on the way. And for those of you who missed it, be sure to make the next C3 Dunedin event!
See you Sunday!

Next month is all about Jesus!
And just like Jesus, we’ve decided to turn things upside down- the main bulk of our teaching will be done not during our Sunday Services but during Connect Groups.
We have prepared studies for each connect group leader to take their group through covering the birth, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus as well as a look at the Trinity.
This means that during sunday services we can focus on the life and teaching of Jesus- I know our church is going to be hugely blessed by this! Don’t miss one connect group meeting! It’s going to be life changing!
Baptisms – St Clair Beach
What an amazing sunday afternoon, unfortunately the water temperature was sure to remind us that winter is upon us. >> CONGRATULATIONS goes to the group of young adults who were baptized . It was also awesome to see the great turnout of supporting family and friends.
Now for some photos…
RISE & BUILD 2011
Nehemiah 2:18 And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me. So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work.
